Bali Pass Trek | Himalaya Shelter
The Bali Pass Trek, managed by Himalaya Shelter, is a thrilling adventure that takes you through the magnificent Garhwal Himalayas in Uttarakhand. This trek is celebrated for its scenic splendor and the undulating landscapes of Bali Pass, a sprawling alpine meadow. The trek begins from the charming village of Sankri and gradually ascends through dense forests, picturesque villages, and lush meadows. You’ll be captivated by the stunning views of snow-capped peaks, cascading waterfalls, and vibrant alpine flowers. The trek is a paradise for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts, as it offers opportunities to spot various species of birds, animals, and unique Himalayan flora. A major attraction of the Bali Pass Trek is the beautiful Ruinsara Lake. The trek route passes through several heritage villages of the Har Ki Dun valley such as Osla, Gangaad, and Taluka, and climbs deep into the Govind National Park. Along the way, you’ll encounter multiple waterfalls. The trek spans 66 KM from Taluka to Janki Chatti and is considered challenging due to its altitude of over 16000 feet and long walking days with steep ascents and descents. Himalaya Shelter, the organizer of the trek, is deeply committed to environmental conservation and makes concerted efforts to minimize the use of plastic. They maintain a clean environment in and around their campsite and take significant measures to preserve the natural water resources in the Himalayas.
