Pedro Pascal (known in Spanish as [xo?se ?peð?o ?alma?seða pas?kal]; with a birthdate of April 2, 1975) is actor from Chile and the United States. After nearly two decades of taking small roles on stage and television, Pascal rose to fame as Prince Oberyn Martell in the season four of the HBO hit fantasy series *Game of Thrones* (in 2014). He became even more prominent through the character of Javier Peña in the Netflix crime show *Narcos* (between 2015 and 2017). Pascal subsequently appeared in the films *The Great Wall* (2016), *Kingsman: The Golden Circle* (released in 2017), *The Equalizer 2* (2018), and *Triple Frontier* (2019).
His lead roles as Din Djarin, also known as "The Mandalorian," in the Disney+ sci-fi series *The Mandalorian* (beginning in 2019 and still ongoing) and Joel Miller in the HBO post-apocalyptic drama *The Last of Us* (starting in 2023) propelled him to international stardom, earning him a reputation for portraying fatherly figures. For the latter role, he earned many awards, including a Screen Actors Guild Award and a Golden Globe nomination. He continued playing fatherly roles in the films *We Can Be Heroes* (2020), *Strange Way of Life* (2023), and playing Fink the fox in *The Wild Robot* (2024). Pascal also appeared in major films such as *Wonder Woman 1984* (released in 2020) and *Gladiator II* (set to release in 2024).
